Intercampus Prostate Cancer Symposium
New York City, NY; Friday, January 16th, 2009

Please join us for an intercampus, multidisciplinary symposium focused on prostate cancer research. This symposium will take place at Weill Cornell Medical College in NYC on Friday, January 16, 2009. It will include a dinner at the Griffis Faculty Club on the evening of January 15th, and an all-day event in room A-126 on January 16th, ending at 5:00 p.m. so people can travel home that evening.

The goal for the conference is to promote collaborative multidisciplinary research on prostate cancer. With that goal in mind, the conference will consist of a limited number of presentations and several break-out sessions to discuss opportunities for collaboration.
Themes being considered for presentations and discussion include:

  • Modeling prostate cancer
  • Imaging and detection of prostate cancer
  • Molecular targets and genomic approaches for prostate cancer

Members of the Program Planning Committee include: David Nanus (Hematology & Oncology, WCMC), Alex Nikitin (Biomedical Sciences, Veterinary Medicine), Mark Rubin (Pathology, WCMC), and Peter Schlegel (Urology, WCMC).

As we put together the program, we would appreciate hearing from you about your research and how it does or could relate to these themes or other aspects of prostate cancer. Please also indicate whether you will be able to join us on January 15th for dinner and January 16th for the all-day symposium.

We hope that you are able to join us for this exciting event.

Please reply to Caren Heller (cah2021-at-med.cornell.edu) or to Alex Nikitin (an58-at-cornell.edu).
