RE: CNF Research Accomplishments Due May 23rd

Dear friends:

It is time once again to plan for the Cornell NanoScale Facility Research Accomplishments. As you may recall, one of the requirements of using the CNF for your research is the submission of an annual technical report. It is extremely important that we receive complete and interesting reports from all users and projects. The CNF Research Accomplishments (R/A) is distributed each year to industrial affiliates, visitors, potential users and sponsors, and therefore is our primary technical CNF publication. This book is also crucial in maintaining our NSF funding, so it must contain a comprehensive summary of our user discoveries, technologies, publications and accomplishments.

Here is what we need:

1. A TWO PAGE TECHNICAL REPORT
(including figures) for each CNF User, sent according to the instructions at:    http://www.cnf.cornell.edu/cnf_rainstructions.html

Please read the detailed instructions carefully!

2. A comprehensive list of all PATENTS, PRESENTATIONS, and PUBLICATIONS which relate to work done at the CNF in the past year.   If your work was featured on a journal cover please let us know.

If you have any questions regarding your reports, please contact Michael Skvarla or Melanie-Claire Mallison immediately.

An Additional Reminder for all PIs and Users regarding all your Publications and Presentations:

CNF is supported by National Science Foundation through the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network. This support should be acknowledged in publications and presentations that are made possible by work performed at CNF.

For papers, a suggested acknowledgement may read as:

This work was performed in part at the Cornell NanoScale Facility, a member of the National Nanotechnology Infrastructure Network, which is supported by the National Science Foundation.

In presentations, listing Cornell NanoScale Facility along with your other acknowledgements will suffice. (Find the CNF logo here for your posters and presentations.)

We ask for your help in making sure the efforts of the Lab are recognized by our users. Our support is strongly influenced by the acknowledgements given to CNF in your papers, talks, and other publications.

!! Technical Reports must be received by Friday, May 23rd !!

Thank you!
Don and George
